PMHC is a proud affiliate of the Métis Nation of Saskatchewan and has been honored to provide service to the Métis and Indigenous people of this Province for over three decades. Minister of Housing Mr. Derek Langan and Associate Minister of Housing Mr. Ryan Carriere and a talented volunteer Board of Directors many of whom have provided long and outstanding service to our communities govern PMHC. Currently PMHC provides administration for two (2) different programs; The Reaching Home Program and the MN-S Emergency Home Renovations and Repair Program. As well, PMHC is developing new and innovative housing program for Metis and the Indigenous communities throughout Saskatchewan.

  • PMHC employs four (4) full time staff on our Reaching Home program. A manager, two (2) Reaching Home Program Coordinators, and an Administrative Assistant
  • PMHC employs two (2) full time on the MN-S Emergency Renovations and Repair Program (MN-S EHRRP) staff and contract employees and housing inspectors, as needed.

PMHC staff are here to serve the housing needs of the Métis citizens of Saskatchewan.

REACHING HOME: CANADA'S HOMELESSNESS STRATEGY

Reaching Home: Canada’s Homelessness Strategy is a federal government funding initiative for homelessness projects. The Non-designated Indigenous Funding Stream component of the program is administered by the Provincial Metis Housing Corporation (PMHC) as the Community Entity (CE). The Reaching Home Program: Saskatchewan Non-designated funding stream for homelessness programming is a five (5) year contractual agreement between the Government of Canada and PMHC with funding available until March 31, 2024.

MN-S HOUSING STRATEGY PROGRAM

The MN-S Emergency Home Renovations and Repair Program (MN-S EHRRP) is one component in the Metis Nation of Saskatchewan Housing Strategy. The MN-S EHRRP Program is being offered to Metis citizens of Saskatchewan and will provide up to $15,000 to address emergency repairs, housing renovations and repairs, accessibility for Senior’s and those with disabilities and adaptability to changes in family composition.The Metis Nation of Saskatchewan has tasked the Provincial Metis Housing Corporation (PMHC) with providing administration and delivering the MN-S EHRRP Program to the Metis citizens of Saskatchewan.
